WHY DO YOU NEED BLUEPRINTS OR PLANS TO REMODEL YOUR PLAYROOM? USE THE SUPPLIED BASIC FLOOR PLAN OF A EXISTING PLAYROOM AS A START. MODIFY THE PLAYROOM TO WHAT YOU WANT. GIVE EXAMPLES INORDER TO ANSWER THE QUESTION.

AUTHENTICITY: (EXEMPLARY) THIS IS A REAL WORLD PROJECT. MOSTS STUDENTS HAVE A PLAYROOM AT HOME OR KNOWS SOMBODY THAT DOES. THE STUDENTS WILL HAVE THE OPERTUNITY TO DESIGN ONE WITH ALL THE TOYS THEY WANT AND LAY IT OUT THE WAY THEY WOULD LIKE TO. THEY CAN BUILD THE PROJECT. THERE IMAGINATION IS THE ONLY LIMIT.

ACADEMIC RIGOR: (EXEMPLARY) THE STUDENTS WILL APPLY THE TOOLS LEARNED IN PREVIOUS COURSES (DRAFTING, CADD, AND BLUEPRINT READING) TO ANSWER THE QUESTION AND DO THE LAB.

APPLIED LEARNING: (EXEMPLARY) THE STUDENTS WILL CREATE THE FOLLOWING: NEW DRAWINGS (DRAFTING, CADD) TO MODIFY THE PLAYROOM, TAKE OFF OF MATERIAL, NEW EQUIPMENT LIST, A LIST OF THE DIFFERENT DICIPLINES NEEDED, A CONTRACTOR LIST FOR EACH DICIPLINE, TRACK COST, BUDGIT, AND CREATE A TIME SCHECULE.

ACTIVE EXPLORATION: (EXEMPLARY) THE STUDENTS WILL RESEARCH: EQUIPMENT WANTED IN PLAY ROOM, METERIALS AND FINISHES USED FOR THE FLOOR, WALLS, AND CIELING, TYPES OF CIELING STRUCTURE, CODES, LIGHT AND NOISE REQUIREMENTS FOR THE ROOM,S USAGES, ECT.

ADULT CONNECTIONS: (EXEMPLARY) THE STUDENTS WILL HAVE ADULTS IN THE REQUIRED DICIPLINES (CONTRACTORS, ARCHITECTS, ECT) TO MAKE DECISIONS ON THEIR QUILIFICATIONS FOR THE PROJECT. TALKING TO SALESPERSONS ON THE BEST EQUIPMENT THE WOULD LIKE TO INSTALL IN THE ROOM (TV, SOUND EQUIPMENT, VIDIO GAMES, FURNITURE,ECT).

ASSESSMENT PRACTICES: (EXEMPLARY) THE STUDENTS WILL BE REQUIRED TO JUSTIFY THEIR DECISSIONS. THEIR DECISSIONS WILL BE BASED ON THE EXISTING ROOM SIZE, CONSTRUCTION, QUILITY // COST OF MATERALS AND EQUIPMENT. GRADING WILL BE BASED ON RUBRIC CREATED FOR THIS PROJECT.
